I am a 13-year resident of Corte Madera with one awesome third grader at Neil Cummins. I love the Twin Cities, and I love our schools. Beyond that, I am a professional public servant. I have a Master of Public Administration degree, and I have worked as an analyst, auditor and manager for the City of Sausalito, U.S. Government Accountability Office and the City and County of San Francisco. In my time as a Neil Cummins parent, I've encountered many other parents who are confused about the responsibilities of the Board of Trustees, unable to easily understand Board agendas and minutes, or both. I started this blog to address those issues. My goal is twofold - to summarize Board activities in a manner easily digestible by the average parent, and to encourage more parents to share their voices regarding school issues.
